Starport: Galactic Empires is a multi-player online game developed by Playtechtonics. It is a 2D role-playing game. However, it is not what it seems. When you start and create an account, you will be presented with the option of joining several servers. Once you have joined in, you start with the same little spaceship like everyone else. This is the view of the game you have, a 2D view of a space flight. However, what you become in the game is up to you. You can be a space pirate, a justice fighter, a taxi cab, just whatever you want. You can even build your own galactic empire by placing colonies on planets and conquering others. This all sounds very nice, but the game does have its flaws: the graphics, for example, but it is understandable as the game is free. However, some servers are really not the place you want them to be. There are some No-Player Kill areas where you may be killed without a reason. You also need to spend huge amounts of time playing the game to be successful. The game's theme will appeal just a few people, but those will enjoy the game. Others might want to try something else.
